Become a volunteer

Completion of this three step process is mandated for all volunteers by the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Please allow an ample amount of time to complete the process before your scheduled day(s) of volunteering.

1. Attend a “live” Protecting God’s Children Class

2. Complete a background screening through the Department of Missouri Health and Senior Services

On the left side click on the register online menu option and follow the instructions.  For the Initial screening you will need a credit/debit card for a $12.00 charge plus $1.50 processing fee.  After your initial registration, a background check will be done every two years by the organization in which you are a volunteer as mandated by Archdiocese policy. Your Social Security number will need to be provided to the Child Safety Coordinator in order for the report to be retrieves from the FCSR site. If you are unable to register on-line, come by the school office and request the Worker Registration Form. A copy of your Social Security card will be needed for this mail-in option.

3. Sign a Commitment to Ethical Code of Conduct

To authorize your Commitment to Ethical Conduct:

You can read and agree to the contents on line when creating your account with Virtus.  You will be given a hard copy during your Protecting God’s Children Class which you will sign and return to your volunteer organization

The St. Roch Parish Child Safety Coordinator is our principal, Karin Hiatt. She can be reached at (314)721-2595 or karinh@strochschool.org.
